The Future Day on April 25th, 2024 once again impressively demonstrated how exciting and varied technical and commercial careers can be. In addition to production management, the day also included insight into the maintenance, sales, quality and purchasing departments. The eight pupils were able to get to know the apprenticeships of industrial mechanics, materials testers, electronics engineers and industrial clerks.

Guided by the employees, the girls and boys were also able to test their own skills at different work stations and exchange ideas with our apprentices and trainers.

The aim of Future Day is to improve the future prospects for children and young people. Girls and boys are encouraged to examine their traditionally different professional world experiences and to receive new impulses.

On April 16th and 17th, 2024, we exchanged openly with students, parents, and teachers at the job fair in the Artland Arena in Quackenbrück – Germany. A total of 73 companies from the region were represented and over 1,200 students participated. Following up on this exchange will be a pleasure for us.

We are looking forward to receiving applications and are available for any further questions regarding apprentices or an internship at Lacroix + Kress.

On February 15, 2024, the Berufsbildende Schulen in Bersenbrück invited people to the “Last Minute Apprentices” fair. Students from BBS Bersenbrück and other general education schools looking for an apprenticeship were able to exchange ideas with companies that still offer open training positions for 2024.

A total of 46 companies located in the surrounding area including – Lacroix + Kress GmbH – were represented at the fair. Many interesting conversations took place and contact details for further steps regarding internships and training positions were exchanged.

We are still offering two apprentices positions for 2024:

– Industrial clerk (m/f/d)

– Electronic technician for industrial engineering (m/f/d)

We are looking forward to receiving applications and are available for any further questions regarding apprentices or an internship at Lacroix + Kress.

We are pleased that we were able to support the Greselius-Gymnasium in Bramsche with a donation so that they would be able to purchase the new electron deflection tube for upper high school grades.

The electron deflection tube is used to experimentally demonstrate the acceleration and deflection of electrons in an electric field. The grade 12 physics class explained its function as follows when handing over the donation in December 2023:

“The negatively charged electrons generated in this tube, accelerated and bundled into a beam, are attracted to the positively charged capacitor plate and thus deflected in a parabolic path towards this capacitor plate.”

With the donation we would like to support the further development of potential young talents.  Furthermore when handing over, also the apprenticeship at Lacroix + Kress GmbH was presented by Svenja Meßbauer (HR Manager).

We wish much success while experimenting during physics lessons!
